My 35th Birthday

I can't believe that I am 35...OMG! We'll after all the candles I have blown out and the many wishes I have made...I can say they have finally come true! I have a beautiful family, my health, and surrounded by amazing people everyday.

We started the day off at Troys for the most yummy breakfast burritos ever, waked around the Block at Orange (in search for a birthday outfit...no luck), then dropped off Jack with Grandma Judy for a night out on the town (we were home by 9pm...lol). Jude and I celebrated my birthday at Citrus City Cafe in the circle. The next night I was surprised with a family dinner at Carmens. What more could a girl ask for!

Our trip to see Grandpa and Grandma

Of course as a first time mom traveling with a 15wk old baby I overpacked! You would think that I would have followed Grandpa's advise...if you forget it...we buy it!  We arrived at John Wayne airport early, check-in went smooth...UNTIL I got a bit of advise from a fellow traveler. She comes over to me and says "Next time leave the stroller" she continued on with how I need a Baby Bjorn. Uh hello I HAVE A BABY BJORN...but obviously I need the stroller. Then I had to hear someone say "Where is your husband?"
 Are you kidding me people??

Ready for take-off

Down for the Count
Jack was amazing on the plane...he actually slept through the entire flight. No fuss no muss! He still holds true to being a GREAT baby.

We arrived in Norfolk, VA at approximatley 1:00AM (89 degrees outside) with Grandpa waiting for us at the gate. Jack was so happy to see his grandpa and couldn't wait for the week ahead, but first we needed a good night sleep.

I don't think Grandpa put Jack down the entire trip and he made sure to carry him to bed every night. It was amazing getting to see them have a grandson/grandpa moment(s). These are the times I wished we didn't live so far apart.

We spent the week eating at yummy resturants, enjoyed a beautiful Sunday drive, Grandma Ruth's (aka Gail) battling the heat to make her wonderful bbq, a visit to Dodson's (my fav store in VA) but mostly relaxing and enojoying our time together.

Jack's 3mths old today!

Here are some new pics of Jack celebrating his 3mth birthday. He loves his pal Scout (thanks Gammie) but as you can see he isn't to sure about sitting in his Bumbo. They say that it is supposed to help babies with their posture. Jack would rather lay and kick his legs and make cooing noises. He laughs all the time now..he has the most amazing laugh. Happy Birthday baby boy...mommy and daddy love you SOOO much!

4th of July 2010

We celebrated Jack's first 4th of July with friend in Ladera Ranch. Even though the weather was a bit cool, the sun was shining and we were surrounded by good friends and yummy food.

Tracy with soon-to-be baby Luke and Jack hanging poolside. We can't wait for next year so the boys will be able to run around together.

My bundle of joy

I am amazed everyday how quickly he changes. I know all parents say how strong, smart, and of course handsome/beautiful their child is BUT I have to say Jack is all of the above and I can't imagine my life without him.

Welcome Baby Jack

Jack Stephen Chavez blessed us with his arrival on April 7, 2010 at 12:06A.M 7lbs 6oz

Jude and I were overwhelmed with joy, and fell in love the minute we heard his beautiful cry. After 13 1/2 hours of labor, and a c-section later all I wanted to do was hold him and never let go.

Ultrasound Me

We thought for sure we were having a girl. The name was set and I knew there was a cheerleader in my future for sure. Jude was thrilled with the idea he was going to have a daddy's girl.

That all changed the morning we walked into Ultrasound Me. I jumped up on the table she squirted that yucky gel on my belly and within seconds she said "It's a boy" I wish I had a camera to capture the look on Jude's face when he heard that daddy's little girl was now daddy's future ballplayer.
