Our first cold was a doozie

Jack has been battling a cold for almost a week. Being a first time mother I have to say I don't think I was paranoid or pushy enough. Last week Jack had to see the on call doctor because Dr. Tran wasn't in. We brought him in due to a fever that was ranging from 99.8-102 sounds pretty bad right?? Well Dr. Kellogg aka Dr. Quack said we had nothing to be concerned about and sent us on our merry way.
Jack's fever persisted and actually got worse..add to that a very wet cough, and running nose. I called a couple of times to the Dr's office spoke with several nurses and one response was "bring him in IF his fever goes over 103". That just didn't seem right to me so I called again and this time I was able to speak with one of Jack's regular nurses and they said bring him in right away.
When we arrived Dr. Tran set up chest x-ray and discovered that Jack has Bronchiolitis which is a viral infection of the lungs and needed to be put on breathing treatments of albuertol every 4-6hrs. Jack is a trooper and we are praying that he gets better soon. I hate seeing my little baby boy sick.

A stroll through the park

Jack loves to be outside...crawling in the grass um that is still up for debate. We went over to Hart park last week to enjoy the wonderful Southern California Winter. Jack played on the swings and strolled the trails, but when I decided to put him in the grass he just sat there taking it all in..he watched the people walk by and all the kids playing around him. No need to push it he will be running around soon enough.

Oh my how we have grown

Jack just had his 9mth check up and not really a surprise to us but... he weighs a strong 24.2 lbs and a tad over 31inch. Dr. Tran said that he is going to be a tall boy! He was up to date on all of his shots (lucky for him) and won't have to return until he is one. I can't believe how quickly they grow and how time flies by. I think back to when he was just a little baby sleeping the days away. Not anymore...Jack is very active, he loves to jump jump jump in his jumper, and enjoys playtime with all of his musical toys. He started saying "mama" right around 6mths and "dada" at 7mths. He has his 2 bottom teeth, and Dr Tran said looks like the top 2 will be here before we know it. Jack's personality continues to shine through...he is a character for sure!

Tis the Season

What an amazing Christmas we had this year. I have always said that Christmas was my favorite holiday, but now that I have a family of my own...creating new traditions, and new memories.

We didn't have a chance to see Santa...believe me we tried but after and hour and half in line with another hour to go the kids started to get restless.

Going to get our first christmas tree was such a treat. Jack and daddy walked thru all the trees looking for the perfect one...and they did just that. Perfectly round, not too tall (we need it to fit in the apartment afterall...lol) and smelling exactly like Christmas.
 

 

Jack was very spoiled...Santa, Grandpa, Grandmas, Aunties, Uncles, and cousins over did it! We really need a bigger place after this holiday season. Jack was a pro when it came to opening his gifts. He would actually hold his present, pose for the picture, and then tear into it. Too cute!

Our Halloween was Spooktacular!

  

We wanted to make sure we didn't miss a beat. We went to the pumpkin patch, carved  pumpkins, and of course went trick or treating in Old Town Orange. Lions and Tigers, and MONKEYS oh my!!

Jack and Luke had so much fun at the Pumpkin Patch. Jack was very protective and making sure that Luke wouldn't topple over in the bundle of pumpkins.

New adventures means more memories

 Jack and I started Mommy-n-Me classes the end of September with our best friends Tracy and Luke.  ZoomBuggy  is held every Friday from 11:00-12:00 at the Tustin Dance Center. We focus on fun sounds and lots of dancing. Our morning starts with stretching and saying good morning to all of our friends in class. We dance to silly songs, play with noise makers, and colorful scarfs. Class comes to an end with quite time and of course more singing. Here is one of Jack's favorite songs.
