Summer 2010 Forrest Falls adventure

Our summer getaway took a bit more planning now that Jack is here, but to my surprise he continues to go along for the ride. Grandpa was in town to celebrate our birthdays and we wanted to do something fun, exciting, and outdoors. We packed up the car with lunch, sunscreen, and lots of water and headed up the mountain to Forrest Falls.

Jack was strapped on and away we went. It was really hot so we made sure to stop along the way and cool off in the creeks.

Everyone had a lot of fun, with only a couple bumps along the way. Of course Kim jumped off a rock and landed on her knee. She was a mess within the first 5mins of the hike. Once we got to the top we found a creek that the kids were able to swim in. Jack of course went into instant heat coma and took a break with his Grandpa. While Brieanna, Kim, and Saundee hiked all the way to the top to the waterfalls.

Baby Luke

Baby Luke Ludin has finally arrived. August 12th, 2010. Tracy was lucky enough to have a scheduled c-section which allowed us to have one final outing at Tustin Brew Co to talk about "what's next". Jack gave Luke a little pep talk, and told him that he couldn't wait to finally meet him.
Precious!
I told Tracy it was like Christmas day waiting for the phone call giving us the green light to go see Baby Luke. Luke is beautiful and Tracy looked amazing. We are so happy for the Ludins and can't wait to create many memories together. What a blessing to have our boys grow up together.

Jack's 4mth check-up

What can I say...he is perfect! Well that's what the doctor said. Jack is now 17.5lbs 27inch long and doing everything a 4mth old baby should be doing. Dr. Tran actually walked in and said "wow he doesn't look like a 4mth old baby". Jack is in the 95% in weight, and 90% in height....considered to be above average.

He took his shots like a champ...let out one big cry and then he was all better. He was a bit more fussy after this round of shots, and had a low grade fever. He slept if off and woke up ready to play. That's my boy!!

DJ Walker is the best!

Dr Tran gave us the green light to start Jack on cereal and of course he loves it. I can't wait til next month we are going to start making our own Veggies YUMMY!

My 35th Birthday

I can't believe that I am 35...OMG! We'll after all the candles I have blown out and the many wishes I have made...I can say they have finally come true! I have a beautiful family, my health, and surrounded by amazing people everyday.

We started the day off at Troys for the most yummy breakfast burritos ever, waked around the Block at Orange (in search for a birthday outfit...no luck), then dropped off Jack with Grandma Judy for a night out on the town (we were home by 9pm...lol). Jude and I celebrated my birthday at Citrus City Cafe in the circle. The next night I was surprised with a family dinner at Carmens. What more could a girl ask for!

Our trip to see Grandpa and Grandma

Of course as a first time mom traveling with a 15wk old baby I overpacked! You would think that I would have followed Grandpa's advise...if you forget it...we buy it!  We arrived at John Wayne airport early, check-in went smooth...UNTIL I got a bit of advise from a fellow traveler. She comes over to me and says "Next time leave the stroller" she continued on with how I need a Baby Bjorn. Uh hello I HAVE A BABY BJORN...but obviously I need the stroller. Then I had to hear someone say "Where is your husband?"
 Are you kidding me people??

Security check point

Ready for take-off

Down for the Count
Jack was amazing on the plane...he actually slept through the entire flight. No fuss no muss! He still holds true to being a GREAT baby.

We arrived in Norfolk, VA at approximatley 1:00AM (89 degrees outside) with Grandpa waiting for us at the gate. Jack was so happy to see his grandpa and couldn't wait for the week ahead, but first we needed a good night sleep.

I don't think Grandpa put Jack down the entire trip and he made sure to carry him to bed every night. It was amazing getting to see them have a grandson/grandpa moment(s). These are the times I wished we didn't live so far apart.

We spent the week eating at yummy resturants, enjoyed a beautiful Sunday drive, Grandma Ruth's (aka Gail) battling the heat to make her wonderful bbq, a visit to Dodson's (my fav store in VA) but mostly relaxing and enojoying our time together.

Jack's 3mths old today!

Here are some new pics of Jack celebrating his 3mth birthday. He loves his pal Scout (thanks Gammie) but as you can see he isn't to sure about sitting in his Bumbo. They say that it is supposed to help babies with their posture. Jack would rather lay and kick his legs and make cooing noises. He laughs all the time now..he has the most amazing laugh. Happy Birthday baby boy...mommy and daddy love you SOOO much!

4th of July 2010

We celebrated Jack's first 4th of July with friend in Ladera Ranch. Even though the weather was a bit cool, the sun was shining and we were surrounded by good friends and yummy food.
