After a well organized barbecue at the Ludins (wink wink), Tracy and I thought it was a perfect time for the boys to take a bath and wind down for the night. They were so cute splashing away. Not sure what Luke thought about Jack in his tub...lol but they seemed to have a good time.

Jack's 1st Birthday
Our prayers were answered! The weatherman said a storm was rolling in and with an outdoor baseball themed party...you can see why mommy was freaking out a little bit.
The day of Jack's party turned out to be a nice Spring day..puffy clouds, no rain, but a bit on the cold side. We weathered the storm and Jack had a great 1st birthday. All of his family and friends were there to celebrate his special day and he couldn't have asked for anything more.

Birthday parties gallore
Well if you remeber we were all pregnant at the sametime which only means we get to share 1st birthdays at the sametime...and what fun it is.
Our first party was to celebrate Dylan at Kidnastics in Los Alamitos. Great location and lots of fun things for the kids to do...however Mr. Jack only wanted to hangout with mom and dad.
After that came Grady's 1st Birthday. Jack and Grady are 5 days apart in age and it is such a joy watching the two of them together. Allison and Buddy had his party at their house in their new and improved AMAZING backyard. So fun!

A day in the life of Jack
Jack seems to have created a schedule for himself and pretty much sticks to it. Unless we have something going on I can tell you when he will eat, sleep, and poop...lol
Now add in all his mischief it adds up to a pretty exciting day at the Chavez household. Once Jack is up so is everyone else. He likes to stand up in his crib with huge smile on his face, laughing and yelling...I swear it's his way of saying "Rise and Shine".
He really enjoys his playtime in the mornings. He has to have his music on and all the toys come out of the the toy box (even though he only plays with his favorites). We play for about an hour then it's time for breakfast. Jack loves pancakes these days. After breakfast we play a little more...sometimes it's our jumper or Jack and Will play chase around the house.
Nap time has moved to one nap a day but it's a good nap. He goes down between 10:30-11:00am and sleeps for about 3hrs. This is mommy's time to get ready for the day, catch up on cleaning, laundry, or updating my blog :) Monday-Thursday I work nights so after nap time I get a couple more hours with Jack before daddy gets home from work and we switch shifts.
Jude sends me pictures throughout the night of silly things that Jack and Daddy get into. They love to make forts in the living room and of course like father like son...they love to watch sports. Jude said one of his favorite times is when Jack falls asleep on his chest at night.

Our first cold was a doozie
Jack's fever persisted and actually got worse..add to that a very wet cough, and running nose. I called a couple of times to the Dr's office spoke with several nurses and one response was "bring him in IF his fever goes over 103". That just didn't seem right to me so I called again and this time I was able to speak with one of Jack's regular nurses and they said bring him in right away.
When we arrived Dr. Tran set up chest x-ray and discovered that Jack has Bronchiolitis which is a viral infection of the lungs and needed to be put on breathing treatments of albuertol every 4-6hrs. Jack is a trooper and we are praying that he gets better soon. I hate seeing my little baby boy sick.

A stroll through the park
Jack loves to be outside...crawling in the grass um that is still up for debate. We went over to Hart park last week to enjoy the wonderful Southern California Winter. Jack played on the swings and strolled the trails, but when I decided to put him in the grass he just sat there taking it all in..he watched the people walk by and all the kids playing around him. No need to push it he will be running around soon enough.
