Out for a stroll with the girls

A little game of kickball

Jack in the box!

My future ball player

What is Jack into these days...what is he not into these days!

Jack's big boy hair cut...no tears earns you a balloon and a sucker!

He wanted to sit in the sink to get ready (just like mommy)

All dressed and ready to go...look at the face!

If it looks like trouble...
Sounds like trouble...

Then it's probably trouble!

Happy Halloween from our little monster

One of the neighbors went all out...can't wait to see what they do for Christmas!

Jack had so much fun running up and down the streets. We didn't do any "trick or treating" this year but we made sure to walk the neighborhood and look at the decorations, and see all the kids in their costumes. He will be ready next year for sure!

The Chavez family is growing

We are very excited and feel so blessed that our family is growing. Baby Chavez will arrive sometime in the beginning of June. This pregnancy has been completely different from Jack. I am moody (according to Jude and my sister Kim), very tired and have enough morning sickness for 5 women! I am 12 weeks today and starting to feel a little better. No crazy cravings...actually this time around certain thoughts of food make me sick. Actually right now thinking about it as I am typing it is making me sick...lol So on that note I will post some pics soon. As of right now not much to show for.

and so it begins...

I never thought this day would come, well not until he was atleast 4 and starting preschool that is! The night before Jack 1st day of daycare I was a mess...but I figured I would do what mom's do best..shopping that is. We went and bought all the necessities a lunch box, new sippie cup, new shoes (slip on's), snacks, and of course labeled everything with "Jack". That night we had a talk about what to expect, and assured him that mommy and daddy will always be there right after work to pick him up. We read our bedtime story and off to bed we went.
Jack woke up bright and early, took a bath, brushed his teeth, got dressed and off to Luz's we went. To my surprise we arrived at Luz's Daycare walked right in, a little unsure but no tears. Jack started talking with the other kids, we said our goodbyes and holding back my tears, Jude reassured me that he was in good hands and he was going to love it. Luz's had a full day of outside playtime, music time, and of course story time. Luz said that Jack was the best first day baby she has ever had. Jack seemed to play well with all his new friends (Addison and Finley) took his nap like a champ, but rest asure he was ready for mommy and daddy to come home and pick him up. When we arrived he was all grins and talked the entire way home (Jack babble that is) telling every detail of his day.

Jack seems to be having a great time!

A ray of sunshine

I have to say summer is our favorite time of year. Hanging out at the pool, days at the park, bbq's with friends, and of course baseball. We have had a great start to our summer with many more memories ahead. Jack has started My Gym on Thursday mornings and our first visit was a hit. It's wall to wall fun....ball pens, rock wall, rope swings, cars, trucks, ladders, and we get to sing and dance. I only had my camera phone with me so the pictures aren't that great, but next time I will be prepared.

I'm a big boy now!

15 months...I can't believe how fast time flies. Our baby boy, is changing right before our eyes. Jack just went for his 15mth checkup and is doing fantastic. Weighting in at 26 lbs, and off the charts with his height at 35inchs...he gave Dr. Tran a visit she would talk about the rest of the day. Jack has started the "terrible two's" a bit early, and was not as cooperative as he has been in the past that's for sure. He screamed, kicked, pushed, and made every bit of his visit quite memorable :)

We took Jack in for his 1st haircut to Rainbow Kids Cuts, he walked in so proud...hopped up in the chair like a big boy, and the minute she sprayed him with the water...it was all over! He had to sit on my lap the rest of his haircut of course screaming, and trying to push the lady's hand off of his head. It was another memorable outing...but of course so worth it...he looks ADORABLE!

Here we go..

Get this thing off of me!
