Of course as a first time mom traveling with a 15wk old baby I overpacked! You would think that I would have followed Grandpa's advise...if you forget it...we buy it! We arrived at John Wayne airport early, check-in went smooth...UNTIL I got a bit of advise from a fellow traveler. She comes over to me and says "Next time leave the stroller" she continued on with how I need a Baby Bjorn. Uh hello I HAVE A BABY BJORN...but obviously I need the stroller. Then I had to hear someone say "Where is your husband?"
Are you kidding me people??

Jack was amazing on the plane...he actually slept through the entire flight. No fuss no muss! He still holds true to being a GREAT baby.
We arrived in Norfolk, VA at approximatley 1:00AM (89 degrees outside) with Grandpa waiting for us at the gate. Jack was so happy to see his grandpa and couldn't wait for the week ahead, but first we needed a good night sleep.
I don't think Grandpa put Jack down the entire trip and he made sure to carry him to bed every night. It was amazing getting to see them have a grandson/grandpa moment(s). These are the times I wished we didn't live so far apart.
We spent the week eating at yummy resturants, enjoyed a beautiful Sunday drive, Grandma Ruth's (aka Gail) battling the heat to make her wonderful bbq, a visit to Dodson's (my fav store in VA) but mostly relaxing and enojoying our time together.
Great pictures, Amy! What a fine looking family! I can't wait to see how Jack is changing each day. Keep us updated!
